Why do you write?

Because I am a hopeless dreamer who loves the escapism writing gives you. You can be anyone, do anything, go anywhere, have anything – you are only limited by the extent of your imagination.

What’s the meaning behind your blog name?

Ooh, this is a hard one as my blog name is quite personal – let’s just say it reflects some of the themes in my poems about love that you can’t always have…

Why did you start your blog?

Because it was cheaper than therapy, ha ha!

Where is your favourite place to write?

Literally anywhere. If I have a sudden flash of inspiration, I’ll grab whatever’s to hand to write with/on and get writing.

Describe your favourite colour without saying what it is

It’s the colour of his eyes

The colour of my tears

The colour of summer skies

The colour of midnight fears

It’s the colour of sootless fire

The colour of me and you

The colour of my desire

In any type of hue.

How do you deal with negative comments?

It depends on where the comments came from, what they’re about and who made them but if I can I prefer to laugh about things rather than think about the negative.

What motivates you?

Loads of things…family, friendship, love, happiness, success – I could keep going!

What is your writing goal?

Writing things that other people like to read…and one day maybe to write a brilliant book of poetry or a novel.

My nominations:

Milly Schmidt  for loads of well written and really useful advice and articles on writing and blogging.

Constant Variable for brilliantly written, clever and heart-felt poetry.

My questions for nominees:

Why do you blog?

Who inspires you?

What is your favourite literary quote?

What is your favourite novel/poem and why?

Describe yourself in 3 words?

How would other people describe you in three words?

Your most fun day ever would be to…

  1. I’d like to go ahead and preface this by saying that your nomination did nothing to influence what I’m about to say. I nominated you for the Mystery Blogger Award (which I was nominated for about two months ago, and you were already on my list of nominees when I first wrote it). Anywho…things like this are not my strong suit. Information about the award is in the post I made about it. Hope you’re well.
